Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital and anesthesia training.  The oral and maxillofacial surgeons at Oral Surgery Group and Dental Implant Center are all board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and have been serving the tri-state area for over 40 years.  

David L. Hayhurst, DDS, David E. Yates, DMD, R. Scott Edwards, DDS, William R. Farnsworth, DDS, Robert C. Shumate, DMD or Stephen H. Troyer, DDS, MS provide expertise in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, managing problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions.  Our practice provides procedures from wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, cone beam radiographs, diagnosis and treatment of oral pathology, facial trauma, and IV anesthesia.

The surgical staff is experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial assistants with training in IV anesthesia.  Patients are continuously monitored closely during and after surgery.  Our doctors are available 24 hours a day for any surgical questions that may arise after procedures for continual patient care no matter what the hour.
